Guided by Dhyanacharya Nāgajīva Datuk Dr. Lim Siow Jin, Founder of DXN and Principal
Guide of SIF, alongside Dhyāna Pravartak Dr. Rajesh Savera, the retreat unfolded
with quiet precision. There were no grand announcements, no performative rituals.
Instead, the gathering moved seamlessly into Sunya Samata Vipassana—a practice
rooted in emptiness, equanimity, and direct self-observation.
A Discipline of Silence, A Field of Awareness
The retreat was
carefully structured to support depth at scale. Participants engaged in extended
periods of mass meditation, guided Sunya Talks, mindful breathing, and silent
awareness practices. Despite the enormity of the gathering, the experience felt
intimate—each individual held within a larger rhythm of calm.
History Recognized, Meaning Preserved
The magnitude of the
retreat was formally acknowledged by the India Book of Records and the Asia Book of
Records, recognizing it as the largest gathering of people practicing meditation
simultaneously at a single location. Yet, for those present, the recognition felt
secondary. What mattered more was the lived experience—one lakh people choosing
awareness over agitation, presence over pressure.
